OpenClaw, the free, open-source artificial intelligence agent framework that gained widespread attention earlier this year, is now available as an app on both iOS and Android, the project announced on X on Tuesday. [1]

On both platforms, users can pair their phones with the OpenClaw Gateway, a routing layer that connects user requests to AI agents and the tools and skills those agents use to complete tasks. [1]

The project first attracted broad attention around the launch of MoltBook, a social media site described as being populated entirely by AI agents. [1] That spectacle was later found by researchers to have been partially the work of humans impersonating agents — a move that functioned as marketing for OpenClaw, at some cost to its credibility.
